The Snow Whirlwind is a time of mercy and giving, when the entire world seems to freeze in anticipation of a miracle. But this holiday also has a dark side. With the first snows comes the Twilight, a silent punisher, punishing those who dared to darken the bright days with evil.
Legends say it comes from a distant Sphere, where humans and demons coexist in perfect harmony. Most consider these stories mere fiction. Everyone, that is, except those who have come into contact with the Twilight. These unfortunates unanimously swear they have seen it and experienced its cold, merciless justice.
The fate of its victims is the greatest mystery. Humans and demons not only vanish, but vanish without a trace, as if they had never existed. A few witnesses claim that the Twilight tosses the guilty into a huge, capacious sack and drags them into its world. No one knows what awaits them there—eternal slavery, oblivion, or something even more terrible.
This fear, this ignorance, is its main weapon. And just before the Snow Whirlwind begins, both demons and humans peer fearfully into the twilight, dreading the sight of a hunched figure with a huge sack slung over his back. After all, no one is entirely certain they deserve mercy.
