- In August, we added modding to Darkest Dungeon II. Our plan is to release mod support in incremental stages, with each update building upon the last. This initial release allowed for mod loading/overwriting logic and Steam workshop integration. Modders are now able to create custom items from scratch (trinkets, combat items, inn items, stagecoach equipment) and also new hero palettes. It is also possible to create mods that change/alter any existing skills or data in the game that is currently contained in exposed csvs.
We are interested in extending mod capabilities all the way to enabling the creation of custom characters, and we plan to work closely with our modding community to develop the necessary tools in future releases.
- We added a number of options for late game candle usage such as allowing players to spend candles to reroll quirks, earn random items ahead of the Crossroads, and roll for new choices at encounters.
- We added more gameplay variety by introducing new lair boss trophies, as well as 4 new Infernal Flames, and an Infernal Flame vitrine to track your progress.
