Über das Spiel

Willkommen in Brighton!

Du solltest also immer gut darauf achten, was in diesen Situationen gesagt und getan wird.

In jedem Fall sollten Simulatorfans reinschauen. :) Es lohnt sich. Danke fürs Lesen. :)

Its a playable game but honesty with the amount of development time they have had, Its really lacking. You got bugs where, AI traffic just completely stops and all the ai go brain dead, random invisible walls where if you hit them your shift just ends due to vehicle damage, and mission props just spawning in the ground. For the 15/20 times i've taken the traffic stop callouts it has spawned half way in the ground and any backup I call just drove through the props as if they weren't there. But hey maybe theirs at least some content to balance the bugs. I mean kind if you dont mind just being a meter maid, 75% of this game is just you and maybe one friend responding to crashes or give traffic tickets. The other 25% you respond to smaller calls where the outcome is usually the same and maybe just maybe you can use your tazer, don't think about using your gun at all though:) Even though the game is in the state it is, at least the devs are still pushing out updates to flesh the game out so i'd recommend it, if its on sale and you got a buddy to play with.

The game is good
Here are some of my ideas for the game:
1 Add gun fights
2 Make the NPC randomly take off when you pull them over (Not all of them)
3 Fix some bugs like having to wait 3 seconds till you can get into your car.
4 Allow your officers to put more than one of the villacion on a arrestee.
5. Sometimes the voice just stops, it should be fixed.

I like the game and I think that it's quite good. However, 20 hours in, and I feel like I've seen everything there is to see in the game. For what's supposed to be a (somewhat) open world with random event generation, it is incredibly repetitive.

I think the most limiting aspect of the game so far is the lack of large-scale calls. What I mean is that every call/activity in the game is oriented towards one single officer (the player) and possibly a friend (if playing multiplayer). This means that there's typically only one suspect to deal with (maybe two for a drug deal or an accident w/ multiple DUI's). You are the only officer in the entire city, meaning that there's (so far) no room for large scale calls (riots, crime scenes to secure, pursuits, surveillance?). Law enforcement is in no way a solitary activity, so the concept that you can't even call for backup or that you're the sole officer in the city is nonsensical. (Is there ever a time in which an assault call with 3 injured would justify a response and area search by only a single officer?) Furthermore, the game gives you a gun, but there is absolutely no situation in which you can/should use it, begging the question of why they even allow you to pull it out of your holster. (I understand that it may be added in the future, but why give us access to the gun if it is, quite literally, useless in terms of the available calls and activities.)

There's a particularly nasty tendency in this game for character animations and speech to be linear, predictable, unskippable, slow, and clunky. When speaking with a person, there are delays after selecting options to then access the menu again, meaning that if you choose an option that will play a long animation/speech, you're suddenly stuck for 5-15 sec waiting for the animation to finish. If there's a wallet theft in front of you (there often are since apparently these idiots steal wallets with a police officer 10 ft away from them) you have to sit there waiting for the clunky dialogue to finish before you can run after them. It locks you into the animations, which is incredibly annoying. The animations should be both faster, and allow you to cancel them such that you're (realistically) able to have a faster reaction time. This would be an essential addition if they ever (as they are planning to do...?) add lethal force as a component to the game. If a suspect decides to open fire while you're asking for someone's ID, in the current game state, you have to wait for the 'giving back ID' animation to play (feels like about 4-5 seconds) before you could even start to draw your weapon. This game is operating as if nothing would be urgent enough to do anything but move slowly, with little purpose. That's not very realistic, especially for American police (this is clearly based in America, on any number of cities on the North East coast).

Lastly, as is the case in making anything a game, the conditions for success in this game are linear, rigid, and unforgiving. Unfortunately, that is an incredibly difficult rule set to apply to policing. The game applies rigid rules to what is interpretation for the player. When you're searching for a wanted suspect, due to the limited character models in the world, there are often multiple people on the same block who match the picture/description. If you detain a person who looks similar, but isn't THE wanted person, you are punished for even detaining them. The game is assuming that the wanted person is unique, but there are countless people (as in real life) that look similar. Furthermore, when you do find the person, and you're sure its them, you are REQUIRED, to FIRST ask for their ID, even if they run, before you can arrest them for the crime/open warrant. In what universe do police officers calmly ask for the person's ID after that person has taken them on a half-mile chase? In this game universe, that is the only way to operate w/o being punished.

TL:DR Calls are small scale. Animations are slow, frustrating. Dialogue and calls are repetitive and at times uninteresting. The premise of turning police work into a game with strict rules immediately defeats several facets of realism. It is in early access, and they appear to be adding more, but it's not enough yet.

None of this is to mention the PLETHORA of bugs. A couple glaring examples:
-Handcuffs aren't returned, meaning you may be stuck unable to arrest anyone. This is especially frustrating on foot patrols, when there is no cruiser to refill your handcuffs (which still doesn't work sometimes).
-AI traffic is nonsensical, 'pulling over' in the middle of the road, not yielding correctly to lights and sirens. It doesn't know how avoid accidents or drive around your cruiser when its parked in the road.
-GPS navigation is next to useless, recommending long routes following strict traffic rules (with lights+sirens, why would you drive 1 mile around a block to avoid driving 100 feet down the wrong way?), often pushing you into a district you're forbidden from. Very helpful getting fired for following the directions (why would you be fired for driving a block outside your assignment?).
-Driving mechanics are clunky. On keyboard, pressing W to go forward means that for the first couple seconds, you are burning out with zero grip and max revs. Braking is non-ABS, which means you lose all grip when braking and turning simultaneously.

A little rough around the edges. I encounter bugs quite frequently. There needs to be some sort of crime rarity slider or something, as people seem to commit crimes in front of the police almost constantly. I can pull someone over for some reason and then while talking to them, I'll have a woman shouting at me asking for directions, someone mugging somebody, a callout for whatever, a crash happen next to me and plenty of obviously illegal vehicles driving around. It can get a little overwhelming to deal with, so I'd love a slider that I could make certain crimes rarer (Such as purse thieves that seem to occur any time I stop to deal with something).

With that all being said, I have had a lot of fun with this game and I'm sure I'd have even more fun with a friend as well. It's a great immersive simulator and the devs frequently update the game with new features and fixing issues. Right now, I'd say the game is good and has been worth the money, but it still has the potential to be so much better and I really hope the devs continue going a good job.

Solid sim for being in early access. There are many bugs but it is still quite enjoyable as the devs are pretty active. Though I feel the price should be a bit lower for what the game in its current state is, I still believe it is worth the current price due to the devs being quite active.

This is an interesting game, with some good concepts that are thought out; it takes a while to investigate things and issue

Some ni ggles that don't make sense:
- You can only arrest for a single infraction, so a drink driver under the influence of narcotics; you have to pick a single one. No bonus for picking up both, no penalty for missing any.
- Speed limits are absolutely upheld, 1 mph over and you get a penalty, even in places that have no signage.
- At traffic incidents, you cannot interview a driver if you've already arrested them for an issue, meaning you need to dearrest, interview, and rearrest.
- Vehicles do not pull over, they just stop in the road.
- Vehicles do not respond to your sirens, slow, deflect, or move if blocking. They sometimes just stop dead infront of you, causing an accident, sometimes severe enough to end the shift (as below).
- Only certain arrests count as condition to search, which isn't the case, every arrest is a warranted reason for a search for officer safety.

In its current state though, it's just frustrating to play:
- When you call for prisoner transport, the vehicle can, and often does, spawn right next to you, in traffic/your patrol car, and causes an accident that writes off the day resulting in a firing and a waste of however long you've spent on that shift.
- Similarly with AI traffic, they respond in random, unpredictable ways to you/sirens, crashing into you and causing an accident that writes off the day resulting in a firing and a waste of however long you've spent on that shift.
- Net code is slack; if you're not the one hosting, expect to see traffic teleport, jump, or appear/disappear directly in front of you, sometimes this can cause an accident that writes off the day resulting in a firing and a waste of however long you've spent on that shift.
- Sometimes the above happens even if you are the host, so it's perhaps the rendering optimisation that doesn't restrict this behaviour to just entities outside of view.
- Satnav doesn't use safe/direct routes; I was lead outside of the patrol area, which doesn't have a countdown like Battlefield does, and it ended my shift immediately that wrote off the day resulting in a firing and a waste of however long spent on that shift.
- Controller support is thrown together; if you have any controller installed, it will prefer that controller and you won't be able to play keyboard and mouse, this includes driving/flying sim set-ups which can't simply be unplugged. When you use kb/m, the game detects a switch and completely freezes for 2 seconds or so, then after a second or so it switches back to controller and freezes for a 2 seconds or so.
- Controller settings don't exists to set sensitivity/deadzones which are default set to 100%/0 respectively, so after forcing you to use controllers, you're fighting the poor implementation the whole way.
- Controller options restrict menus being interacted with; at the start of a shift you sometimes have tips that you cannot close on controller as it's the same option as to stand up/start shift, which you cannot do because there is a tip open.
- When playing online, some days can end when the person not hosting ends the day with 0 patrol points, and gets stuck on an end day report so doesn't gain any XP/levels.

I've spent 5 hours playing today, and have achieved nothing as every shift was either cut short due to one of the above reasons, or didn't count towards anything.
All in all, a waste of time.

It's pretty fun having a game that from the ground up is built as a police simulator. Compared to other mods for games or other police-style games, I'd say this one is the best. Some people complain about not having pursuits or shootouts but let's be realistic here. Police for the most part in real life (depending on the location of course) do not get in shootouts daily or pursuits daily. A lot of agencies are also not allowed to engage in pursuits as it is a threat to public safety. This game gives you the opportunity to do what most police officers normally do every day. Handle traffic stops, accidents, assaults, theft, littering, speed enforcement, you name it. The other great thing about this game is the development team. They have great attention to detail and regularly release updates to improve the game and add new features. When it comes to the graphics I think it looks great personally.

Needs justifiable usage of firearm(s) and detaining suspects at gunpoint. Should not be penalized for drawing your pistol when looking for a suspect that is known to be armed. It doesn’t make sense. Making judgement calls on the use of force can happen in a split second and sometimes lethal force is necessary. Please make the players sidearm more than just a prop carried on their characters duty belt.

Other than that the updates have steadily improved game play overall.

Really impressed by the development. The developers kept their promises so far and delivered significant updates sometimes even faster than announced :) The game itself started out great on release and gets better and better with every quarter. It is exactly what I imagined and wanted from a Police Simulator game :D. Arguably the driving mechanics, dialoge diversity in the game are not the best yet. And of course there are features that are still unrealistic or missing, but that is why it is an early access game and I am confident in Aesir Interactive that they deliver that as well considering the great promised additions they have already delivered.

Anyways great job love the game so far. Keep up the good work!

After 5 hours of playtime and as a police officer in real life, I can tell you this game is awful.

Number 1, if someone is fleeing from a felony, you draw your gun and issue commands. Taser in then used once you have determined they are not armed.

Second, you can frisk for weapons (different from a SEARCH) anytime you are investigating a criminal issue.

Third, you just can't breathalyze and drug test anyone just because they are driving. I mean you can, but only if you have established reasonable suspicion they are under the influence.

If someone runs from you, and you have to taze them...why would you stand them back up and ask for their ID only to issue a ticket? That dude is going to jail.

I can tell this game is created by people who have a fantasy about what law enforcement is or should be in their minds and I feel as though the developers heart is in the right place in making this. But please, consult some law enforcement officers on how some of these interactions are designed. Maybe it's just rough because its an early access and I can accept that. I would really like to see more dynamic interactions and the ability to add charges or arrest for multiple charges (like a DUI but they have illegal firearms, narcotics, warrants, etc.).

The game has a lot of potential but unfortunately the awful game mechanics and total number of bugs totally kill what could be a an excellent game.
Just to mention a few things that drive me furious when playing the game:
- Driving is a nightmare. The cars handle like a sled on an oil slick. It's just abysmal. The fact that you have to adjust the camera yourself while driving doesn't make it any more easy to control the car.
- When ever you're handing a car accident scene, there's always a wallet thief crime happening next to the scene. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Apparently it should have been fixed in last update but happens still every freaking time. If you go and chase the thief, the car accident scene more than often disappears so you don't get the points from it. Same plagues other crimes as well. If you've stopped a car for e.g. having excessive exhaust and you have to catch a thief, the pulled over car just disappears. Very very annoying.
- The game piles all the police calls to happen at the same time. You have a thief, minor accident, major accident, and aggravated assault being called out at the same time and when you take care of the one, usually you run out of time to handle others. Rest of the shift can be totally empty of calls and you spend it issuing parking tickets because nothing happens.
- The wallet thief victims keep screaming for help relentlessly, even after you catch the thief IN FRONT OF THEM. Please just shut up already.
- There are a lot of bugs related to the ID checks. I am looking at a person that matches everything in the database except for gender. Game punishes if you arrest for stolen ID even though the ID does not match with the database. Also sometimes you can't get the person's details from the database and that should be Fake ID. Except you get punished for detaining based on that.
- Jaywalking and littering are indicated by the game automatically. However sometimes it marks the wrong person and you get punished even for asking them for ID.
- Parking violations are sometimes ambiguous at best. You can only really ticket clear cases like expired meter on non handicap car. For example time restricted no parking zones seem to be very buggy.
- Don't get me started on trying to pull over cars while on foot. More than often it causes NPVs to stop functioning and just creates a traffic jam where nobody moves. Highly irritating.
- Fleeing criminals always require a taser to be drawn at them even if you would run at them. You can't make them stop without the taser or gun being pointed at them ie. verbal stop commands are not possible to use.
- The game is laggy even on a decent game system. Especially the driving causes significant lagging. The graphics engine would need to be optimized. Badly.

As it stands until the game mechanics are revamped or polished and the most prevalent bugs get fixed, this game is not worth the current price. It's just highly frustrating experience and the devs need to start fixing stuff.

Ok, I have been a cop for 24-years and they have something here. This is an honest police simulator. Really impressed with the overall game play and adherence to real life boundaries police must stay within. Need to expand on possible charges, for both criminal and traffic offenses. Need to flesh out the interactions with suspects and criminals quite a bit. I am not sure if they are trying for an E rating, but I can tell you first hand that police work in the real world scores a solid M. Maybe things get a little more gritty as you go along, I only have just over 5-hours in. This game is fairly smooth and I have encountered only a few bugs. The foundation is here for something really special as it grows and matures.

This game requires a bit of patience to learn. Allot of the bad reviews that I have read seem to focus on a quick game, which this is not. You have to build your character and learn the processes for different enforcement actions.

One bad point; the vehicle steering and operation is terrible. Hoping for a fix or re - design there...

Overall 3 out of 5 stars and the game is still being developed.

I am the law!

This game is in between being poor and good. It's not a great game but could provide some hours of fun to you.

So you play as police officer and start your career from patrolling the streets and issuing parking tickets. It's pretty simple and tedious task. You look at the cars, their license plates and parking meters and see if they have the right to be there. Some cars might be parked facing the wrong direction or on the sidewalk which considered as violations too obviously. So while it's a repetitive task it's pretty realistic and has many types of violations.
Then you can do car patrols, issuing speeding tickets by using your radar gun, stopping the cars for various violations and so on.

Then there are accidents. This is where it get little more fun. You interview the drivers, check their documents, check their background on your police computer, check them for drugs and alcohol. You can also search or frisk them and search their cars.
You also need to photograph the incident and all the damage and write am accident report. Once that is done it's time to decide who's the culprit.

Suspect search is another activity you can do. You get an approximate description of how the suspect looks and must find him somewhere on the streets. Sometimes they run so you can use the taser or your gun to stop them. It's pretty fun but sometimes it could be hard to find them because the game only has limited amount of people models so a lot of people are the same models with different hair/clothing/skin colors.
Robberies and assaults are fun too. They're basically the same thing though. You get to an incident location, interview the witnesses who give you the description of the criminal and then just like I mentioned above you look for that suspect.
You also have your police computer where you can check all the info about citizens, like if they have driving license, gun permit and if police is looking for them.
There are some other activities like looking for graffiti painters which is considered as vandalism, you can fine people for littering or crossing the street when it's not allowed.
Oh and one more – war on drugs. You can look for drug dealers and arrest them.

So the gameplay is pretty diverse. But the game is janky and buggy. Sometimes you'll see flying cars or suspects disappearing or people just glitching like standing on a sculpture. Mostly these are only visual bugs but often they break the immersion.
You can also get stuck somewhere but developers were smart enough and implemented an ablity to reset your character on the street.

Graphically the game look very poor. No surprise here, it's running on unreal engine 4. It's a good engine but not for games with huge open world environments. And it's even worse when low budget studios use it. As with many other ue4 games it feels like developers just placing default assets everywhere. Not to mention poor animations, ugly graphics in general, lack of aa and poor performance. It looks like a game from 10 years ago. I understand it's a great choice for smaller studios but maybe if these simulator studios wuold focus on one game per 3-5 years they could actually achieve something with this engine.

I'm getting 70-90fps on 5800x, rtx3080, 32gb @3440x1440. When I had 2070s I could barely get 50fps. Horizon ran better.

Ultrawide works fine out of the box though.

Sound? Hmm...voice acting is ridiculously bad, it's so bad that it's almost good. General sound effects are not bad, they're decent. I don't have much to say about sounds because there's nothing impressive.

Overall a decent game which should give you 20-30h of fun. Definitely worth picking up on sale for those who love simulators. We all know that most simulators suck so this one is one of the better ones.

Pros
  • Diverse gameplay
  • Pretty fun
  • Lots of features
  • Quite realistic sometimes

Cons
  • Poor graphics
  • Poor performance
  • Visual bugs
  • Some activities are just boring

As a police officer myself I can say that the realism is very close. I can honestly say the developers did their research on law enforcement when making this game.
Some minor glitches such as cars vanishing during stops but that’s to be expected in a beta.
Improvements: Lights should stay on when blipping a car to pull over. Just have it target the yielding car would be more realistic
Make the spotlights useable so at night can search front the car of light up a stopped car.
Add SFST tests for DUI walk and turn HGN and one leg stand.
Add the ability to call for back up would be nice to have NPC officers.
Add lights to the police vans as well as add the use of batons and pepper spray.
Overall and awesome game am totally addicted to it!!!

It may be a bit buggy here and there, But it's seriously impressive for a small studio in early access. It is also really fun to role play about. Here is a bit of unexpected fun from today ... I delayed shooting a taser on a fleeing suspect only to have a random drunk driver swerve towards us and take him out causing a three car pileup that I had to investigate and clear up while being indirectly the cause of the crash. Do I take the suspect into custody or call him an ambulance? choices, am I right?

This game is a lot of fun co-op. I couldnt see myself playing it solo. But It lets you goof off enough that its entertaining, but still reminds you that its a sim and you're a cop. Graphics are fine, sound is fine (tho some stuff is REALLY loud, might wanna turn down the volume if you use a headset.), amount of tasks to do are good and the progression system is nice. However, early access.. heres my list of things that need work.

Performance: Goes from ok to awful at the drop of a hat. When driving the framerate stutters like crazy, even with a beefy PC and video card. They need to optimize this asap.
Gameplay:
- Need to be able to charge people with multiple things. I had a guy who caused an accident who was on meth, drunk, and had a gun he had no license for, but I could only pick one of the 3 things to charge him with.
- Needs more character models variety. Everyone is fit and the same height. Some variance would be nice.
- Pulling cars over when youre on foot, this needs work. They drive out of your patrol area to pull over sometimes and then you cant do anything.
- Some physics would be nice. When you're driving the car, everything seems to be adamatium, dont expect to be ab to go through anything if you hit it. Also you just drive through people, which sucks. You should be able to collide with em and lose the day. I'd like to see some ragdoll physics on the pedestrians :D
- It should show you what your focus task is on level select. Catching speeders in town sucks, people speeding is rare and running around on foot with a radar gun isnt great, i'd like to be able to select doing things that i enjoy rather than getting a level where i'm just gonna ignore the bonus task.
Theres more but thats enough for now.

Not a good simulation of what its like being a police officer, just a oversimplified simulator. Ignores much of what real policing involves or even real police procedures and tools. The car is basically undriveable and I've yet to have an accident clear in a way that made any sense.

I was gifted this game by a very generous friend. I do wish Steam had a neutral review option. This game is fun and a reasonably realistic look at being a police officer. I greatly like that the game has a system for enforcing proper behavior and other things like that. The only problem is there is still a large amount of bugs and glitches that need to be worked out. It can still be played in it's current state and it's good the devs aren't giving up on it. Keep going devs. You could easily make this the best police game on the market!

Buggy but fantastic. Still in dev.

The buggiest thing in the game is trying to pull cars over from a squad car. They can't 90% of the time as the pathing needs work.

Still having cars disappear semi-regularly.

Not being able to give multiple citations when people have legit multiple reasons is a bit frusterating.

Other than a few little things, this game is amazing. Very accurate, super fun, and I'd highly recommend anyone interested pick it up and support the devs.

More people playing/paying means better end product.

It is a fun Simulator bit boring on the first 1-2 shifts as you start with parking tickets, jaywalking, littering than it becomes better once you get a car crashes pulling people over.
It gets far better with multiplayer you can run with each other or 1 on foot and the other in the car or both on foot or in car better when you unlock 2 cars.
SP points are given to both players but CP points are are deducted separately so if you or your partner stuffs up it dost not effect the other

Issues I found
1. If you talk to a suspect in a warrant case and ether search or try to arrest them and they want to run they just stand there for a few sec and you can not do any thing (happens some times)
2. Looking for a suspect on the border of you area it some times up dates your map to say they are at this point on the map out side your area and if you go look you jet fired
3. The car at higher speed fills like you are driving on ice you just slide
4. when you use the emergency break (hand break) you loose all steering and the car goes straight ( crashed trying to stop before I crash into someone just pulling in to my lain with my blues on)
5. if you have a blue car at a accident your partner will see a different colour than you (can get confusing at the scene)
6. need to make shifts longer than 45 min just feels way too short when you running in multiplayer (would love to see 60-120 min choices

Things I would love to see in game and changes
1. When you pull some one over it would be good to give alcohol and drug test in car not get them out
2. More interactions with handcuffed suspect as if you handcuffed them (for safety) than search there car you can add it to there fines or arrest (you can only arrest them on 1 item)
3. Use a computer, phone, tab to fill out a arrest report (even if it is just drop down tabs)
4. Have the police computer on a separate system not like a esc menu setup (make it look like a computer with choices reports eg it goes hand in hand with 3.)
5. Option to fuel and fix your car
6. welfare checks / search and rescue missions lost person
there are others but we will see what will come in to the game first

Other than that It is a great game and would highly recommended getting the game
It is fun better now with multiplayer (would be better allowing up to 4 players different areas or same area
9/10 from me

Although the game is very far from being remotely bugfree, I enjoy every minute of it and it gets better with every update! It's so fun to play with a good teammate. Keep up the good work devs!

I’ve wanted a game like this ever since I was a kid. Everything you do in this game is what I wish you could role play like in gta5 story mode or online without the need for mods. This game is fun as hell with friends, I’ve been playing it with my friend Josh, and had a blast just catching criminals and shit. We plan on continuing our journey with the new content releasing over time as it looks very promising. Good game!

The ONE THING, I want to see changed is please allow me to have the lights on when conducting a traffic stop. Right now you have to use the pull over (R by default) key to blip the lights and sirens to begin a traffic stop, but if you have your lights on also in the process, the car won't pull over because it's stopping dead in it's tracks for the lights. This also creates other issues if you do allow the car to pull over and then you turn your lights on for that traffic stop experience, it's good that the cars behind you stop (Kinda wish they'd just go around into the open lane and maybe drive slowly past. MAYBE this could be done by when your vehicle is moving and lights are on, all cars stop, but if your vehicle is stationary/you are not in it with lights on, cars slow down and go around and drive slow within a certain radius) BUT it also means ambulances and tow trucks stop for the lights as well and the traffic backup itself can cause them to never get to you.

This one thing bugs the crap out of me. But honestly, this is the greatest Police Simulator experience I've ever had outside of GTA V RP as a cop. None of the other simulators come close to the feel of this one.

Now, all of this aside, I have some side notes. The running, I'd like to see an ability to turn the toggle run effect on or off, I like to hold shift to run and let go to walk, having the toggle on kinda forces me into one or the other and screws up my chases quite often.

I have not been able to find a key to pull my gun out aside from pulling up the menu. Maybe this is just me, maybe it's not actually there. But I can get 1 and 2 to pull out the radar and the tazer, would be nice to have some of the other tools pull out with those keys as well.

The player character feels much smoother than most simulators, BUT it could feel smoother. I would like a more realistic person feel to the way I move. Running just feels unnecessarily slow or at least it LOOKS really slow, maybe better animations could help with this, I'm really uncertain.

In regards to accidents. I'd REALLY LIKE the opportunity to provide the accident report after I put someone in cuffs or have it automatically served when you do so. It's really rather silly that arresting someone for a crime stops you from providing them with a report.

Another idea I have is it would be REALLY COOL to be able to do more with injured people. Maybe not in the way of triage, but the ability to somehow gather statements from them after the fact of them getting treatment. Maybe they get brought to the back of the ambulance allowing you to question them, gather all of the evidence, provide reports and THEN you clear the ambulance to leave. OR allow an opportunity for you to bring accident reports to them at the hospital. I dunno, something to make the scene feel a little more involved.

I’d like to see some form of progression system in rank, not just in unlocking things, something to make you feel like you are progressing through the ranks, maybe even a Detective addition that allows you to investigate crime scenes similar to L.A. Noire where you can make an investigated decision as to whom the suspect is and CAN arrest the wrong guy. Obviously this one is much farther down the road, and possibly just me dreaming but a guy can dream.

I'd also love to see some sort of crime growth and decrease based on your actions. I know you have high crime rates which I have yet to experience. I'd love to see if you don't patrol in a certain area over a period of time, the crime rate maybe will start to go back up for roleplayish reasons. Maybe introduce gang/organized crime activity where if you don't get to the source, it can spread across the city overtaking it with crime and such.

Would also like to see some form of management system as you progress in the ranks(See above suggestion about adding ranks). Maybe the higher you go up, the more responsibilities you gain over ensuring certain districts have officers for coverage after you have lowered their crime rate. Make a bit of a mini game out of it where your officers are metaphorical tower defense and if you don't set it up right, the whole area can become ridden with crime due to inexperienced officers/exhaustion of officers, I dunno, run wild with the concept.

Honestly, it just excites me to see a simulator finally come out that has active development going on. I’ve wanted a police simulator for years and between Police 10-13 and Police Simulator: Patrol Duty, I’ve felt like it was never gonna happen. Then you guys come along and do it WELL.

You have something beautiful here and I’d love to see it grow into a fully fledged Police Simulator with all of the bells and whistles, even if it means DLC to help continue your funding.

Thank you for creating something I’ve been dreaming of for years and doing it well and I wish you the best of luck moving forward.

Detailed police work in a generic but lovingly designed amerik. Big city.
You start as a patrol and gradually unlock equipment, operations and cars.
The entry is gentle and foolproof.

You can completely customize the game; E.g. no car damage or advice on alcohol consumption etc.

All in all, the simulator has decent graphics.

There is no real story at the moment, you level up like that. But the whole thing is still EA.

For my part, I can only recommend this Sim.

Overall a good game, a bit flaky sometimes but its playable, needs a little bit of optimizations, needs bigger updates, It would be fun to be able to play as different departments in different locations, like sheriffs office in some kind of small town, where you would have to go offroad and stuff, also needs more action, like robberies, shootings and other things, also seasons, winter, autumn and so on. I recommend this very much

I don't usually write reviews, but so many of these games are done poorly that its refreshing to see one done RIGHT! The gameplay is amazing, the graphics are great and the depth is awesome... and its early access! There is so much to do and the controls are surprisingly intuitive and easy. You can pretty much do everything you would want to do as a police officer. Working accidents, searching for perps, working crime scenes. Its all here. Even the vehicle physics are pretty good. I've gotta say I am thoroughly impressed and have really enjoyed playing this game. 8/10 (just because it could be better and is in early access)

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers

More comprehensive and fun review [url= here

Astragon Entertainment are an established publisher responsible for a number of real-life simulators including Bus Simulator, Construction Simulator and more recently Firefighting Simulator.

Police Simulator follows the same formula and is currently in Early Access. A road map can be found here

Become a Police officer in the fictional town of Brighton and experience their day-to-day life.

Gain experience on the job, unlocking new tasks, districts, vehicles and equipment; Perform routine tasks including robberies, traffic stops, speeding violations and parking infringements; Interview suspects on the street and use your intuition to detect whether they are hiding something.

It’s all in a day’s work for a police officer.

Overall Impressions????

I was quite impressed with the number of features available at the moment. Police simulator is already fun to play and there is so much more planned for the future. The road map shows all the updates in progress and the Discord and Trello pages give owners of the game the opportunity to suggest and vote on improvements.

As of the background check beta update, there is already fifteen plus hours of entertainment without it feeling too repetitive. Once you have unlocked all the equipment and tasks, each day does seem pretty similar however.

Read the handbook before playing. Police Officers are governed by law and a lot of their procedures need to be done correctly. There are tutorials in the game which help jog your memory, but it is definitely worth checking out the rules of engagement beforehand. There is also an excellent Discord channel with some really helpful people who reply quickly to your questions.

There are a lot of noticeable bugs; They mostly manifest as graphical glitches but now and again it might ruin your session. At worst, you’ll just have to start your shift again which isn’t too annoying. Now and again even if you process someone properly you will get points deducted and other infringements require you to use the correct wheel choice which can sometimes be very similar. This mostly happens on parking infringements but you get used to it after a while.

Brighton looks and feels like a busy city environment; Traffic constantly whizzes past and everyone goes about their daily business. There are some nice statues, parks, buildings and bridges. Everything that you would expect in a city is there and it all looks realistic.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2537614879

The general public are a bit of a disappointment in the sense that the same faces are repeated too often, they just wear different clothing. After a while, you start to hear the same replies too, so conversationally it lacks depth. I would like to see more individuality and more varied conversations.

Driving the police car is a little cumbersome to begin with and it is nearly impossible to pull over vehicles for infringements. This needs a lot of improvement. I particularly enjoyed putting on my flashing lights and sirens though and watching the traffic move out of the way. There is still a lot of fun to be had in the two vehicles that are available, but most of your success will probably come on foot, where it is easier to navigate around the city.

There is a casual and simulation mode but the sim mode just means you have to be a lot more careful with the traffic. If you jaywalk, you’ll lose points and can even get run over. This does require a lot of waiting around for the green hand to appear before you can cross. It took seventeen in game minutes on one occasion! It’s far too long to wait and becomes tedious.

The interface is very easy to use and you will soon be hurrying through interviews and accidents, racking up those experience points and unlocking new districts. Unfortunately, the districts are almost identical. I understand they can look similar but there aren’t that many distinguishable features to separate them.

Zitat:
Police Simulator is a lot of fun and already has a decent amount of solid gaming available. I have studied the road map and contributed on the Discord channel and I am confident that this game is only going to get better and better with some really neat ideas already in the pipeline for Q3 this year.

Gameplay????️

As a police officer you have the choice of working five shifts out of seven days. You can work day shifts or night shifts (although the night time has not been introduces as of yet). Working nights or weekends affects the type of crime you might encounter. i.e., more Drunk driving in the evenings.

You can attend the same call outs whether you’re on foot or in car. These generally involve robberies, car accidents or open warrants.

When turning up to a robbery, you interview witnesses who may give you a description. If you receive enough information then a photo fit will be produced and it is up to you to find the suspect.

Car accidents can be minor or major. In both you will need to take photos of the scene, interview the drivers, inspect their ID and insurance for anomalies, perform drug tests, and search their vehicles. If the vehicles are damaged beyond repair, then a tow truck will need to be arranged. Infractions can be punished by issuing a fine or arresting them. In a major accident, an ambulance may need to be called.

An open warrant is like a man hunt where you need to locate a suspect in a designated area with a description of the wanted person.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2541362870

Otherwise, you can go about your daily duties issuing parking tickets, performing speed checks, punishing jay walkers and litterers, and managing traffic stops.

There are quite a lot of different parking penalties to administer like parking on a curb; facing the wrong way; having a broken windshield; expired license; parking in a taxi rank or disabled bay; parking next to a water hydrant and lapsing on your ticket. You can give them a ticket or tow their car away.

Speed checks involve you pointing your speed gun at moving traffic and taking a picture of the car and license plate. If the vehicle goes above the speed limit you can report them.

Jaywalkers and litterers can be detained and spoken to. You have an intuition monitor which also relays useful information to you. Paying attention to these messages can give you reason to carry out actions you might not otherwise be allowed to. i.e., a person with white powder on their noses is allowed to be searched.

Traffic stops give you the right to check insurance, IDs and perform drug tests and vehicle searches.

If you perform your duties well you will earn SP (shift points). If you make a mistake, you will earn CP (conduct points). CP is deducted from your SP and gives you a final score which determines your district points. Earn enough district points to unlock new areas, equipment and tasks to perform and also receive duty stars. If you receive too many CP then your shift is over and you have to start the day again.

Each shift lasts around twenty minutes and is eight hours of in game time.

Conclusion????

Zitat:
Police Simulator is an impressive attempt at a real-life Police simulator. For an early access title, it is surprisingly capable in its current state and the potential is endless with some really nice ideas promised for the future.
If you enjoy life simulators then I could easily recommend this.

huge potential, but unplayable right now due to bugs:

Here are some important ones:
1.When pulling over people, it takes forever for the car in front to find a parking spot.
2.When looking for a suspect according to a photo, you can find multiple NPCs in that area with the same face. If you check their ID and does not match the name, you will lose 5 points. I don't think this is reasonable, and there should be an option to disable losing points for checking ID.
3. Sometime when you talk to people at a car accident while standing too close to the vehicle, the camera will freeze inside the vehicle, and the only thing you can do is quit and reload.
4. The menu for disabling player behavior (e.g. no minus points when having siren on too long) doesn't seem to work.

Overall the amount of detail of this game is incredible. One I observed is you can't operate the patrol car if you enter from the passenger's seat. I will leave the review for now just to motivate the devs on fixing these bugs. Will definitely change to recommend after most bugs are fixed.

I have played the game a few hours so far, I have over 20 years in public safety in several capacities. My review will be mostly based on realism because technical bugs don't seem way out of line for a game in this stage. The game is fun, even for someone with experience in the field. This game comes so much closer than other to making an actual police simulator.

There are a few basic things that are glaring errors I have encountered so far:

1-Cuffing people in the front, this is rarely done
2-Not mirandizing people being arrested
3-Inaccurate field testing for drug impairment
4-No delineation between felony and misdemeanor encounters . A weapons warrant would be a felony and would get a multiple officer gunpoint response.
5-Citations for crashes seem lacking. A rear end collisions would almost always be a following too close citation (or equivalent).
6-Radio contact or at least mobile data terminal usage is lacking. Every encounter is either logged via MDT or radioed in.

Don't get me wrong this is a great start and it is early access so it will only get better. I am giving it a positive review because it is so much closer than most similar games. I hope additional accuracy is addressed sooner rather than later as it will be easier to fix the sooner it is changed. So fingers crossed this might be an actually playable police simulator.
