Work on the Hamburg Expansion Is Making Visible Progress
[p][/p][p]In addition to the extension of Line 17 towards Bramfeld, construction is currently underway on the western expansion around the Alsterdorf bus depot. [/p][p][img src="https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/38629408/348d0f793ccd29c2a16d5bad875ca7ece9f43183.jpg"][/img][/p][p]With the new branch into Tessenowweg, an independent short-turn service of Line 218 is being implemented within the DLC. The approximately six-kilometer route offers a remarkable variety of impressions. [/p][p]The starting point is the Rübenkamp S-Bahn station. As a small detail, the well-known chess café has even been recreated as a 3D object. [/p][p]From there, the line initially heads east, passing the major construction site for the new U5 Barmbek-Nord underground station. This construction site is not just a visual element, but also affects traffic routing along the course of the route. However, at Steilshooper Straße, the paths diverge again: instead of turning, Line 218 continues straight ahead and switches to the section of Line 7. [/p][p]Via Leeschenblick and through the roundabout, the route continues into Fabriciusstraße.Here, single-family homes, allotment gardens, and the Bramfeld indoor swimming pool shape the surroundings before the route returns to Steilshooper Allee and continues further towards Bramfeld.
