We’ve put together the most important questions and answers about the upcoming release of The Bus:
Q: When is the official release of The Bus?
A: The Bus will be released on March 26, 2026. The game will be available simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The release will take place at 2:00 PM (CET).
Q: Which platforms will The Bus be available on?
A: The Bus will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S starting March 26, 2026.
Q: Where can I pre-order and buy The Bus right now?
A: The Bus is already available on PC via Steam. On consoles, you can pre-order now: on PlayStation 5 currently via Amazon, and on Xbox Series X|S directly in the Xbox Store. A digital pre-order for PlayStation 5 will not be available, but the digital version will be available in the PlayStation Store at release.
Q: Do Early Access players have to buy the game again?
A: No, not on PC. If you already own The Bus in Early Access on PC, you will automatically get access to the full release version at no additional cost. If you want to play The Bus on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, you will need to purchase the console version separately, as these are different platforms.
Q: What happens to existing save games?
A: Not necessarily all saves will carry over. Since many systems and mechanics have changed since Early Access, older save files may no longer be compatible after release. If that applies to you, you will need to start a new save. In general, we recommend creating a fresh profile at launch to experience all new features properly.
Q: Will there be multiplayer?
A: Yes, on PC. You can drive through Berlin together and explore the city as a group. Multiplayer is not available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Q: Does The Bus support modding?
A: Yes, on PC. Modding remains an important part of the game and lets you create or download custom content, such as repaints or map-related content. Modding is currently not supported on consoles.
Q: Are there differences between PC and console?
A: The core content is the same across all platforms. However, certain features, including multiplayer and modding, are only available on PC.
Q: Will The Bus continue to be developed after release?
A: Yes. The Bus will keep receiving regular updates after launch, and community feedback will continue to play an important role in ongoing development.
Q: When will the final PC system requirements be announced?
A: The final PC system requirements will be published shortly before release on The Bus Steam page. You will also find recommended hardware guidance there.
Q: Which buses are included at release?
A: All buses that are currently available in The Bus will also be included at release.
