Hello Paxians,
On Friday, March 14, at 9 a.m. UTC, we’ll perform a plot cleaning session on all shards to remove inactive plots.
Here are the five criteria a plot must fulfill to be considered inactive - all requirements must be met:
- Player inactivity: The player who owns the plot has not logged in on any of their characters in the past 28 days (on the cleanup day).
- Building Pieces: The plot contains fewer than 20 building pieces.
- Chests: The plot has fewer than 7 chests.
- Crafters: The plot has fewer than 7 crafters.
- Market Stalls: The plot has no Market Stall.
Please note that we are still investigating the implementation of an automated process to clean inactive plots more regularly. However, starting Monday, March 17, we will perform a plot cleaning session every Monday at 9 a.m. UTC, using the same criteria mentioned above.
New EU shard: Chernobog
As mentioned, we closely monitor the population on all Pax Dei shards. The EU shards are becoming increasingly full, making it difficult for newcomers to find free spots to settle and start playing.
As such, we have decided to open one new shard for the EU region on Friday, March 14, following the plot-cleaning session. It will be named Chernobog, after a deity from Slavic myths..
Note that you might need to restart the game once the shard has been opened to see the newly added shards on Friday.
We will temporarily open character transfers from existing EU shards to the new shard until March 31 .
FAQ
Is the new shard RP (Roleplay)?
No, the new shard is a standard one. It is not flagged as RP.
When I create a character on the new shard, will I get access to my redeeming queue?
If you already have a redeeming queue with your other characters and create a new character on a new shard in the same region, you’ll have access to the same redeeming queue.
Can I transfer an existing character to the new shard?
As we do not yet have a self-service character transfer, we will temporarily offer character transfer via our Customer Support team. Note, however:
- You cannot transfer your character if [list]
- You have a placed plot,
- You are part of a clan,
- You are in a party.
Please release your plot and leave your clan and any parties you’re in before contacting our Support Team.
- Only the items that are in your character’s inventory will be transferred to the new shard: [list]
- The gear your character wears and the items in their inventory will be carried over.
- The skill levels reached by your character will also remain.
- BUT: all the items and material left on a plot you release will not be carried over, will not be added to the redeeming queue, and will be up for grabs publicly as soon as the plot is released. Make sure to add any precious items you’d like to carry over to your character’s inventory so as not to lose them.
[*] If the character name is already taken, your character will need to be renamed.
[*] You can only transfer to a shard from the same region (EU to EU, in this case).
[*] We will only offer transfers until March 31.
- If the population levels of the destination shard reach their limit sooner than the date mentioned above, we will stop offering character transfers to them.
Please note that transfers will only be offered to characters on existing shards and will not be offered to characters created or already moved to the new shards.
