What is “Rust & Dust”?
- [p]“Rust & Dust” is a new temporary event in Crossout that essentially serves as a standalone version of the game with its own rules and features.[/p][/*]
- [p]In the “Tales”, all players start from the very beginning and on equal footing.[/p][/*]
How do I level up and get new parts in the “Tales”?
- [p]The core gameplay is as usual: you fight, earn well-deserved resources and experience, and invest them in acquiring increasingly powerful weapons and effective parts.[/p][/*]
- [p]Leveling up within the “Tales” is noticeably faster, and the familiar factions from the main game aren’t present: all parts are categorized by type in the “Workbenches” section.[/p][/*]
- [p]You can earn a special resource called “spare parts” in battles. You can exchange it for new parts on the workbenches, as well as various decorations for your armoured car.[/p][/*]
- [p]Exchanging spare parts for new parts happens instantly and without additional costs for using the workbench.[/p][/*]
- [p]You can send vehicle blueprints stored in the “Tales” to the main game. To do this, simply find the desired blueprint, open the context menu, and select the appropriate option. Note that some parameters or even part models in the main game may differ from those in the “Tales” and will be replaced.[/p][/*]
Why are some parts not in the “Tales”?
- [p]“Rust & Dust” is a unique format with its own rules, allowing players to experience the game from scratch in a revamped setting. The rarest parts here are epic, while the parts themselves are as “down-to-earth” as possible.[/p][/*]
- [p]No hovers, rotors, robotic legs, plasma weapons, spider legs, or other high-tech inventions. Just a harsh, realistic post-apocalypse.[/p][/*]
- [p]The rarity restriction does not apply to various paints and decorations.[/p][/*]
Destructible parts
- [p]First, it’s important to note that none of the following applies to common or rare parts. If these parts are destroyed in battle, they will not disappear from storage.[/p][/*]
- [p]Within the “Tales”, epic parts are not only a source of maximum combat efficiency but also carry an element of risk. If you lose an epic part mounted on your vehicle in a battle, it will be destroyed and can no longer be used.[/p][/*]
- [p]The destruction of your entire armoured car will result in the destruction of all epic parts mounted on it.[/p][/*]
- [p]It sounds VERY risky, but keep in mind that the process of obtaining new parts in the “Tales” is significantly easier. Don’t be afraid to produce epic parts and experiment: you’ll have no trouble accumulating a new batch of resources in battle and making up for a recent loss. Try it out and see if the significant increase in efficiency justifies the risk.[/p][/*]
How does the “Rust & Dust” affect the main game, and vice versa?
- [p]No parts from the main game can be carried over to the “Tales”.[/p][/*]
- [p]However, you can use your crosscrowns in the “Tales”, as well as portraits, backgrounds, logos, effects, and taunts obtained in the main game.[/p][/*]
- [p]By completing challenges in the “Tales”, you automatically complete similar challenges in the main game.[/p][/*]
- [p]This does not work the other way around: your progress on challenges in the main game will not count towards the “Tales”.[/p][/*]
- [p]All decorations, paints, and parts crafted from spare parts on standard workbenches are available to you only in the “Tales”.[/p][/*]
- [p]Many of the rewards earned through the “Rust & Dust” battle pass can also be obtained in the main game.[/p][/*]
“Rust & Dust” battle pass
- [p]The rules for leveling up your battle pass and earning rewards are the same as in the main game: you earn experience points by completing challenges. Every 1000 experience points unlocks the next level of the battle pass.[/p][/*]
- [p]Various items are distributed across the reward scale. On some of them, you’ll see special icons that help you figure out where you can receive a particular reward:[/p][list]
- [p]Rewards with no icons can only be obtained and used in the “Tales”.[/p][/*]
- [p]Rewards with an “XO” icon can only be obtained in the main game.[/p][/*]
- [p]Rewards with an arrow icon can be obtained and used in both the “Tales” and the main game.[/p][/*]
- [p]Containers with common and rare tokens. When opened, you receive a token of the corresponding rarity, which can be used to instantly increase the level of a selected faction in the main game by 1 or 5 (depending on the token’s rarity).[/p][/*]
- [p]Armoured car blueprints. When you reach a level containing a blueprint, you receive a fully battle-ready armoured car with all parts installed.[/p][/*]
- [p]Spark plugs are a unique resource used at the battle pass workbench. With the spark plugs you receive, you can produce a variety of parts (including their upgraded versions) for the main game.[/p][/*]
- [p]Blueprint for the “Iron sarcophagus” armoured car with the new legendary cabin “Stronghold”.[/p][/*]
- [p]Recipe for the production of the new legendary cabin “Stronghold”. In addition to the blueprint containing the “Stronghold” cabin, which you’ll receive in the main game at battle pass level 60, this recipe will allow you to produce an additional cabin to sell in the main game or to upgrade your own cabin.[/p][/*]
- [p]Rewards marked with a lock icon are available only to the owners of the packs.[/p][/*]
- [p]Rewards without a lock icon are available to everyone without exception.[/p][/*]
