Welcome Fellows to Our Biggest Update Yet!
[p]Our new Season has just dropped so you can jump in headfirst with two new Heroes, new ways to play solo or in a group and a whole lot more. Seriously, the patch notes are vast so make sure to check the link below if you want to see just how much we’ve managed to put in the Fellowship’s Early Access Season 2 update. [/p][p][/p]New Heroes: Aeona and Xavian
[previewyoutube="_0Z-14i5bVU;full"][/previewyoutube]Aeona: A time-manipulating healer, Aeona is a beautiful and elegant immortal who became mortal to fight amongst her beloved.
- [p]When Aeona is in the group, she delays 50% of incoming damage, giving everyone more time to react. [/p][/*]
- [p]She can also cleanse the delayed damage, healing allies before they even take it.[/p][/*]
- [p]The whole group can see the delayed damage, and see if it is greater than their remaining health, to help prioritize healing.[/p][/*]
- [p]She mostly plays like a DPS, as most of her healing comes as a result of her doing damage, giving her a DPS/Support hybrid feel.[/p][/*]
Xavian: A sword-wielding paladin, Xavian is a new tank that should fill a much needed role in our hero roster.
- [p]Plays as a hybrid ‘Support/Tank’ hero, he has a limited pool of powerful healing abilities, unique outside of the healer role.[/p][/*]
- [p]In clutch moments he can swing a boss fight by stepping into the healer role.[/p][/*]
- [p]He pairs well with Aeona, whose ability to stagger incoming damage makes it easier for him to target the most in-need with his healing abilities to ensure the party stays alive.[/p][/*]
Seasonal Reset
[p]A fresh season means a level playing field for those joining Fellowship for the first time as well as veterans that topped the Leaderboards last season. We’re excited to share that we managed to include a new mount to chase by reaching a 10k Dungeon Rating too! You may recognise Akari from Everdawn Grove. We even managed to remove those arrows (ouch) and patch up their hind quarters as well.[/img][/p][p][/p]
Woodland Glade: A New Way to Play
[p]In this entirely new space, you’ll be able to adventure around by yourself or together with strangers and friends as you learn a Hero’s abilities without the stakes of a Dungeon. No timers, no ‘Boss’, no chest. Just a drop-in/drop-out, instant experience that doesn’t rely on the holy trinity or even other players.[/p][p]Players can jump into the Woodland Glade from the Stronghold, even while matchmaking, making it a perfect place to spend time while waiting for the queue to pop. You’ll even be able to unlock talents and abilities for your Heroes so you’re always finding more power or personal prowess to take into the rest of Fellowship.[/p][p] [/p][p][/img][/p]New League Structure
[p]Major changes have made their way into Fellowship with our revised League structure. Based on huge amounts of player feedback and looking at the data we’ve decided to streamline the player journey through the Leagues; focusing on improved onboarding and not throwing too much at new players too soon.[/p][p]Players will now only experience the Advanced Enemy Mechanics and Dungeon Timers at the end of the League system. This will give new players more hands-on experience on their favorite Heroes before needing to worry about optimising their Dungeon runs.[/p][p][/p][p][/img]We have also included Pathfinder’s Guidance; a new Ascension that will highlight suggested packs to pull on your path through a Dungeon. This is by no means the min-maxed path through any given Dungeon but will teach players the main ideas behind our core gameplay loop with the aim of better overall onboarding for the entire Fellowship community. Pathfinder’s Guidance only exists in the League system but will be removed once players want to focus on climbing the Leaderboards in Eternal.[/p][p][/p][p]If you’re new here, it’s important to know that you can use matchmaking across all difficulties! Jump in, queue for what you want and blast some Dungeons. We can’t wait to see what you all think of these improvements.[/p][p][/p]In-Game Store
[p]This update brings our first version of our vanity-only in-game store. The offering will be modest with 3 outfits and one mount. Rime will be getting her first outfit as well as Aeona and Xavian. It's important to note that these outfits will only preview with the base trim but are ready to receive whichever trim you have unlocked on your Heroes! Aeona's outfit looks INCREDIBLE with Gold Trim for example. You'll also find a completely new mount; our only Raptor in Fellowship! Patch Notes
[p]There’s way too much to cover here so if you’re looking for all the details, you can check out the full list over here.[/p]
More Features on the Way!
[p]There’s so much that we are aiming to include in this update cycle but won’t be landing on Day 1 of Early Access Season 2. Including, but not limited to:[/p]- [p]Account Flair[/p]
- [p]Titles, banners, and more ways to express yourself and your in-game achievements.[/p][/*]
- [p]“Communities”[/p]
- [p]Find your people, by creating or joining your own meeting place. If you like to push, looking for tips on tanking, or just need to find cool people in your timezone to help farm, communities will be the place to do it.[/p][/*]
- [p]We’re putting the finishing touches on our first iteration of a time-out feature for those who abandon others that want to keep playing. We know that this can't exist in a vacuum and voting to leave and/or voting to restart a Dungeon will need to be part of the whole picture. We'll provide more information when we have details to share.[/p][/*]
- [p]We’ve implemented several ways to craft the items that aren’t dropping for the most unlucky in the community, but we’re looking further at improving our drop logic as well. Unfortunately, changing this low-level math means there are far too many potential knock-on issues, and we want to work through that overhaul properly. It’s coming but it is unfortunately taking longer than we’d have hoped.[/p][/*]
