Whether it’s a quick check or a full cargo search under the scorching sun, no two shifts will ever feel the same.[/p][p]Inspect documents and control the traffic with CCTV and spike strips at the Border Inspection Station – and always take a close look at all information, vehicles, and people involved. Be swift and efficient, we don't want the queues to become too long...[/p][p][/p]

A single mistake can let contraband slip through – or stop an innocent traveler in their tracks. Stay vigilant, officers![/p][p]Documents such as passports, visas, driver’s licenses, firearm licenses, and cargo declarations need to be checked. Do not just look out for expiration dates but also for deeper indicators such as forged entries, visa type mismatches, banned cargo, or re-entry violations.[/p][p]Everything's good? You're good to go! But when suspicion arises, affected vehicles will be redirected to the Secondary Inspection Area where you must conduct additional checks by searching vehicle trunks, interiors, and engines for contraband.[/p][p][/p]

During vehicle inspections, you might also discover missing or expired mandatory safety equipment inside the vehicles which can be reported and fined.[/p][p]But work does not just happen outdoors, also indoors in the administrative building: Desk inspection is a crucial part of your job! Individuals can be questioned to verify their travel purpose, cargo information, or permit details.[/p][p][/p]
