Patch Notes – Build 10058
A new update is live! This patch introduces new talents and relics, AI improvements, gameplay balance changes, UI upgrades, and numerous bug fixes.
As always, difficulty and overall balance are being closely monitored. We continue reviewing data, player feedback, and run outcomes across all modes and we will keep iterating where needed. Your feedback remains essential in shaping balance adjustments, so keep it coming.
How to Access This Version
To test this version, switch to the demo-0.2 branch:
[*]Right-click the game in your Steam Library
[*]Click Properties
[*]Go to the Betas tab
[*]In the dropdown menu, select demo-0.2
[*]Close the window and let Steam update the game
Once the download completes, you will be running the demo-0.2 version.
New Features & Content
New Talents, Abilities & Relics
- Several new talents and abilities added to the pool
- New relics added
- Blademaster now only offers distinct (non-duplicate) abilities
Coach Node Rework
- Coach node now has 2 possible outcomes: [list]
- 3 talent choices for a player
- OR 2 relic choices

Benchwarmer Improvements
- Hot/cold streak notifications added
- Benchwarmer menu polished with new animations and improved quick-add flow
- Modifiers no longer display bonuses of 0
Multiplayer Menu Control
- Any player can now open the pause menu during a game
- Pause, Lineup, Settings, Customization and most other menus can now be controlled by any player
Run Stats Access
- Run stats can now be viewed from the World Map via Menu → Stats
Meta Menu Overhaul
- Full visual overhaul with new animations
- Updated squad icons
New Map Templates
- New map templates added for Acts 1, 2 and 3
Gameplay Balance
Critical Shots
- Critical shots now explode like Howitzer
- More likely to score from a critical shot
Bench Talents
- Butt Bench and Double Bench reduced from 2× to 1.5×
Goalie & Scoring
- Act 2 goalie tuned down slightly
- Increased odds of critical goals
Accuracy System
- Shots miss more from afar and sharp angles
- Shots miss less from very close range
- Jump shot now treated as a wrist shot
AI & Difficulty
- Multiple AI tweaks and difficulty adjustments (mostly Veteran)
- AI shoots slightly more often
- Improved AI net avoidance
Skating & Movement
- Improved dash feel and slight speed increase
- Knockout made slightly easier to land
- Cooldown added to Mountaineer grappling hook
- Enrage speed reduced slightly while enraged
- +1 additional relic per act
Bug Fixes
- Fixed goals sometimes not being counted
- Fixed exploding puck not exploding when game is paused
- Fixed soccer wall going to incorrect positions
- Fixed Frog Off description not showing correct duration
- Fixed AI breaking when frogged by Wet Towel
- Fixed Mush-a-Roni not appearing in modifiers when it should
- Fixed Retro Rocket VFX glitched for left-handed skaters
- Fixed extra small players not being visible
- Fixed team logo sometimes flipped in UI
- Fixed Liquidation showing its description twice
- Fixed LB button icons getting stuck on screen
- Fixed white Zamboni appearing in builds
- Fixed SFX bus not getting paused properly
- Fixed goalie enraged visual issues during and after replays
- Fixed duplicate replay event calls
- Fixed abandon-run prompt appearing at the wrong time (now shows before squad selection)
- Various stability improvements and crash fixes

- Many new sounds and audio updates across the board

- New menu animations (Yes/No prompt, World Map, Benchwarmer)
