Against the Storm News Recap
Over the summer, Against the Storm dropped the Nightwatchers DLC, which added Bats as a playable species! This DLC also added two new biomes (the Rocky Ravine and Bamboo Flats), three new buildings (Bat Houses, Manorial Court, and the Black Market), and a new Fluffbeak mechanic.
Also included in this DLC: 3 new Modifiers, 3 new World Events, 11 new Orders, 3 new Citadel Upgrades, 3 new Legendary Cornerstones, 16 new Deeds, 6 new Decorations, 27 new music tracks, and more!

Alongside the Nightwatchers DLC, Against the Storm also released the free Commons Update. This update added a new Commons that allows villagers to fulfill service needs at the hearth, a new Fox comfort specialization, a new Legendary Cornerstone, and a new Smoldering City upgrade. It also introduced some quality of life changes, like additional blueprint & cornerstone purchasing options for Prestige games, prioritization options for glade event reward collection, and updates to the visual look of some buildings.

After dropping these major updates, Against the Storm has also released some regular updates to address balance, UX, and more. Here's a brief recap.
- Patch 1.8.7 added a Fluffbeak alert for Fertilizer collection, reduced time for tree cutting and field plowing, and made some player-requested quality of life changes for certain timed orders and cornerstones.
- Patch 1.8.11 brought dozens of UI/UX improvements and key bug fixes. This patch didn't introduce any new content, but instead focused on addressing common player feedback.
