New Set Items
[p align="start"]It has been quite a long time since we’ve implemented new Set Items. The team paused creating these in the past, as we felt they were less exciting gear options compared to Uniques and their possibility to have Legendary Potential. However, we now feel that there’s more space for Set Items after the update to allow Reforging Sets into Affix Shards.[/p][p][/p]Doppelganger’s Set
[p align="start"]This set enhances your ability to utilize shadows and unlocks new ways to create them. Some of these options introduce special effects, such as recreating a shadow after it has been consumed.[/p][p][/img][/p][p align="start"][/p]Apiarist’s Set

With that being said, let’s take a look at some of the new Uniques that you may come across on your adventures in Eterra.[/p][p][/p]New Unique Items
[p align="start"]For Rogue players who want more kicks out of their shadows, say hello to Tabi of Dusk and Dawn. These unique boots alter Shadow Rend to remove the movement given by the skill in exchange for a melee and bow shadow to be created.[/p][p][/img][/p][p align="start"][/p][p align="start"]For the volatile zombie enjoyers, we’ve got some new boots for you. This adds a new lightning conversion to Upheaval, and also allows you to convert Earthquake to lightning without turning it into a spell. And yes, when it expends Storm Stacks to cast Earthquake, that means you get 20 casts of Storm Bolt hitting enemies instantly.[/p][p][/img][/p][p align="start"][/p][p align="start"]Artifice of Devastation will help Rogue players increase their throwing damage, area of effect, and additionally empower Bladestorms to throw explosive traps.[/p][p][/img][/p][p align="start"][/p][p align="start"]While we enjoy showcasing new items, we still have more to share about Combat Hit Reactions, an animation overhaul to Primalist, animation updates to Rogue, and Quality of Life improvements.[/p][p][/p]Combat Feel: Enemy Hit Reactions
[p align="start"]One of our ongoing goals is to make combat feel more visceral and responsive. You’ve likely noticed this evolving over recent updates through improvements to animations, sound design, and visual effects. In Season 4, we’re taking this further with a major improvement: enemies now visibly react to your attacks. A new system detects their skeleton and applies force to the limbs you hit. This was applied to all compatible enemies and balanced in a way that significantly enhances the feeling of all hit impacts.[/p][p align="start"]This subtle change significantly improves the impact and readability of combat, helping every strike feel more grounded and connected. Check it out in action in the video below:[/p][p][/img][/p][p]Additionally, the audio team included a small melee hit sound update for 18 skills.[/p][p][/p]Primalist Animation Overhaul
[p align="start"]As part of our ongoing animation improvements across the game, the Primalist is receiving a full set of new animations in Season 4. We have implemented a new animation technology that allows for independent movement of the Primalist’s torso and legs. This allows his animations to blend together more realistically. All of the original Early Access animations have been rebuilt or reimagined to make combat feel more impactful and movement feel noticeably smoother:[/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p][/p]Rogue Animation Updates
[p align="start"]The Rogue is also receiving a series of targeted animation updates in Season 4, focusing on the areas that make the biggest impact, such as bow and throwing animations, new idle states, run cycles, and evade motions.[/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p][/p]Quality of Life
Crafting Tutorial
[p align="start"]Season 4 will introduce a crafting tutorial to Last Epoch. This tutorial is designed to help ease newer players into the basics of affixes and upgrading items through a short crafting exercise.[/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p][/p][p align="start"]Players under level 15 will encounter this tutorial during their first time progressing through the Osprix War Camp. This brief tutorial will walk you through upgrading an Old Silver Ring. You’ll learn how to add and upgrade affixes on items as well as using glyphs. The tutorial will only need to be cleared once per stash, so you shouldn’t have to see it too much during the season.[/p][p][/p]Filters and Fun
[p align="start"]If you’ve been following the teasers via Mike’s Dev stream, you may have heard that the Loot Filter will be receiving some updates. We’ve increased the number of rules per filter from 75 to 200. Set rules as you see fit![/p][p align="start"]The team has added a potential condition that allows you to filter items based on any potential in-game, such as Forging Potential, Legendary Potential, Weaver’s Will, or Weaver’s Touch. During this change, potentials in the rarity condition have been removed. Don’t worry, former loot filters should properly reflect this in the newer system.[/p][p align="start"]We’ve also split the crafting material condition into separate Shard, Rune, and Glyph conditions, with the Rune and Glyph conditions allowing you to select individual types to filter.[/p][p align="start"]We’ve also added several keys to the Resources condition including items like Arena Key of Memory, Crystalized Heart, and Merchant’s Guild Tokens. You’ll also note some slight changes with the behavior of the affix condition, so that when there’s no affix selected, the condition will match any affix instead of none. Also, when used in conjunction with a class requirement or item type condition, the affix condition will curate the list of available affixes for the selected classes and item types. This will allow you to filter any affix by tiers quickly.[/p][p align="start"]When it comes to the endgame looting, filters are a luxury we’d recommend all players to try. As we listen to feedback and continue to work on further loot filter improvements, we hope you find the improved changes useful.[/p][p align="start"][/p][p][/img][/p][p align="start"][/p][p align="start"]We’ve done a visual improvement pass at loot beams to make it easier to quickly identify the items you’re looking for. Each beam has been refined for greater clarity, distinction, and visibility in the heat of battle. These will help you spot valuable finds at a glance and spend less time sorting through clutter. Players also have more control over size, color, map icons, and sounds of loot beams![/p][p][/p][p][/img][/p][p][/p]New Cinematic: Heorot and Rahyeh
[p align="start"]The Chapter 7 fight of Heorot vs Rahyeh is now a full cinematic in line with our other campaign cinematics. This 48-second-long sequence contains new voice acting for both characters.[/p][p][/p]Controller Improvements: Rumble Support
[p align="start"]We have added comprehensive support for controller rumble to enhance gameplay feedback, with nuanced effects for each ability and variation. You can choose between several configurations depending on their preference:[/p]- [p]Full: Provides detailed feedback for every weapon impact and environmental explosion[/p][/*]
- [p]Partial or Utility: Focuses on informational cues such as running out of mana, using potions, or landing critical hits.[/p][/*]
