
Breaking The Cycle
As well as the incoming updates, we're celebrating the introduction of these new landmarks with a brand new trailer that shows off some locations that will be familiar to long time fans of The Falconeer universe, and some of the sprawling settlements within the world - all made in game! It's a bit of an epic compared to some of our pure gameplay trailers, and really helps set the scale and tone of Bulwark, so please give it a watch and share it far and wide with anyone that has even passively looked at a lego brick in their lives! [previewyoutube=wZT_uTx9auU;full][/previewyoutube] Speaking of The Falconeer, some of you may already be familiar with the architecture, landmarks and factions of The Great Ursee - though by the time Bulwark begins, the very nature of their existence in the world has changed quite drastically following the cataclysmic events at the end of The Falconeer. In the upcoming weeks we'll take a look at each of the factions, share their past and impact on 'The Path' and what their motivations and state is as we move into Bulwark - which should serve as a nice refresher for those that have already soured the Ursee skies, and a bit of an education into the deep lore of the game for new players to the series - if you have any burning questions you wanted answered - let us know in the comments!Is That A Dreadnot In Your Pocket?
Those with sharp eyes will have spotted that the end of the trailer reveals a brand new unit that will be added to the game on launch as a 'thank you' to those who have wishlisted and picked up the game during the launch window!
The Settlements Update and Faction Interactions
Last week Tomas shared a blog with you detailing the addition of settlements to the game, and explaining some of the ways you can interact with them ( If you missed it, the previous blog - https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/290100/view/7210881749816952981?l=english" target="_blank"> can be found here). As with all things initially added to the demo this is a super early first iteration of a brand new feature that adds an extra layer of mechanical depth and new way to interact with the inhabitants of the Great Ursee, helping to bring more choice and consequence to the decisions you make and attempting to give you agency over how conflicts start and play out as you spread your influence over the world.
A Post WASD World
Finally, It's been a week since we brought the Ursee to London and got to watch a whole new host of builders and creators get their hands on Bulwark and begin crafting their legacies within The Ursee - we also were fortunate to catch a couple of interviews whilst we were there, sharing some discussion about Bulwark, The Falconeer, Tomas, and yes - the burning question - Unity. We're going to leave the Evolving Demo up for a while whilst we gather more feedback and testing on the settlements and diplomacy features.
What's next?
Phew, that was a pretty sizable update! But then again, between Gamescom, WASD, New updates and more, it has been a super busy couple of months so what lies on the horizon?- We'll be sharing some previews and interviews with you all very soon.
