This is the Dungeon Stalkers Development Team.
Before we dive into this Developer Note, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all Stalkers who have waited for and played Dungeon Stalkers since its Official Launch.
The Season 1 update brought many new elements and changes to the game. We are listening closely to the diverse opinions of our Stalkers regarding these changes.
Today, we wish to discuss the revamp of the Market system.
Following the Market system revamp, some Stalkers have voiced that it has become difficult to use the Market.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change.[/p][p align="start"][/p]
Regarding the Purpose of the Market Revamp
[p align="start"]The previous Market structure involved pre-deducting fees upon item registration.
This method had irrational problems: players couldn't list high-priced items if they didn't have enough Gold at the time of registration, and the fee was not refunded even if the item wasn't sold.[/p][p align="start"]Therefore, in the early stages of planning, our Development Team had planned to revamp the Market system for the Official Launch season to a 'post-deduction method,' where fees are deducted at the point of sale completion.[/p][p align="start"]However, due to the nature of the post-deduction method, which allows high-priced items to be listed freely without requiring Gold upfront, we determined that there was a risk of market price manipulation due to false or abnormally high-priced listings.[/p][p align="start"]To prevent this, the Development Team designed the system to require a certain amount of Wishstones as a deposit upon registration.
If an item is sold, the deposit is fully refunded; however, if a sale is canceled or the listing expires, the deposit is not refunded.[/p][p align="start"]While this system was intended to maintain the reliability of Market prices, it unfortunately resulted in significantly restricted access for some users who had not yet acquired the relevant currency.[/p]
Regarding the Development Team's Direction
[p align="start"]The Market is a core content that all users should be able to use fairly and conveniently.
Therefore, the Development Team is reviewing various solutions to maintain an optimal balance between market reliability and accessibility, while simultaneously ensuring all users can utilize the Market. [/p][p align="start"]For example, we are preparing an improvement plan such as offering a limited number of free registrations without a deposit on a regular basis. As this plan is not yet finalized, once the specific method is decided,
we will inform you through update patch notes, etc.[/p][p align="start"]We once again apologize for any inconvenience caused by this revamp to our users.
We will finalize and announce the improvement plan as soon as possible.[/p]
