Ahoy Captains!
This [b]Patch[/b] brings significant improvements to ship physics and handling, making vessels feel more realistic and responsive on water. Thanks to all the reports and feedback during the [b]Public Test[/b] — we hope we’ve addressed everything you raised.
Alongside these changes, the patch also includes multiple fixes, UI & performance improvements, and quality-of-life updates.
Ship Physics, Buoyancy & Handling (Major Improvements)
Improved slamming forces and engine torque calculations
Improved steering efficiency at low speeds
Added an efficiency factor for rudder wash from propellers at low speeds
Implemented an engine overload effect when abruptly changing gear direction for example in reverse
Fixed an issue where the boat continued accelerating while the clutch was in neutral/idle
Fixed a throttle control issue where the power value could get stuck at 100%, preventing clutch operation
Adjusted center of mass on Turbo
Increased top speed on Class 2 service boat and Class 3 service ship
Fixed an issue where the second engine was incorrectly configured as an engine instead of a thruster
Fixed an issue preventing the client from fully turning the steering wheel when autopilot was enabled
Rebalanced all the boats and ships, adjusted propeller and engines
Engine, Systems & Boat Components
Fixed an issue preventing activation of the engine start button when the starter was engaged
Removed the second fuel gauge
Improved cabin lights on some boats
Fixed an issue where some boat parts remained invisible to clients for up to 10 seconds after activation
Fixed searchlight illumination issue on all boats and ships. The searchlight now reflects on the watersurface which was previously not possible.
Fishing, Gear & Cargo
Added ability to unequip longline bucket
Fixed issue where fish could get stuck on the hook after hauling a longline
Fixed issue where picking fish from net did not visually show the fish being picked up
Added fish info after untangling fish from the net
Fixed issue causing longline and net buoys to be invisible on the map
Removed temporary PingMe from the tool shop. Will be enabled again as soon the functionality is in place.
Removed debug lines from cargo items
UI, HUD & UX Improvements
Added HUD aspect ratio setting for widescreen in options
Changed text to indicate events have expired rather than failed
Changed how [b]weights display for container items[/b]
Corrected the order of scale application to input actions
Fixed issue where boat name displayed incorrectly when hovering over the map
Fixed issue where player username did not display correctly when joining another session
Fixed an issue where [b]voting time displayed differently on host and client[/b]
Fixed map filter issue

World Changes & Locations
You can now use Sea Taxi to jump between locations in Port Røst, for example, between main port and port Glea.
Note: Teleportation between ports is one-way. You can only travel from small ports to main ports with a dry dock— not from main ports to small ports.
[b]Port Glea[/b] is now the primary location for [b]large cargo operations[/b]. Large cargo missions will spawn there.
