How Do I Take Part in the Public Beta?
Every player who owns X4: Foundations has the opportunity to download the new 8.00 Public Beta version. In order to ensure that beta participants are aware of the risks and rules involved, we ask all interested players to visit our forum, where they will find the rules and disclaimers, as well as practical instructions for participating in the beta. X4 8.00 RC2 Changelog:
- Improved capital ship jump gate transitions.
- Improved capital ship combat movement when pursuing fleeing targets.
- Improved travel drive bubble effect (new feature in 8.00).
- Fixed player stranded in Boron space in Custom Game Start under certain circumstances.
- Fixed incorrect mission guidance during Tomb of Patriarchs mission in Split story.
- Fixed Dal offering Negotiations and Espionage mission when player has already completed it (problem introduced in 8.00).
- Fixed diplomats and faction representatives sometimes not showing way to agents even when available (new feature in 8.00).
- Fixed diplomacy actions to spy on stations and ships lasting less time with better agent ships (new feature in 8.00).
- Fixed Envoy stance selection being available while changing stance (new feature in 8.00).
- Fixed attack subordinates attacking things that were designated then later rejected as targets by their commander.
- Fixed subordinates whose assignments were changed from Defence to anything else not being as responsive as usual.
- Fixed weapons not shooting at surface target under certain circumstances.
- Fixed Map context menu starting map rotation when using emulated mouse cursor.
- Fixed software and paintmod encyclopedia entries not working (problem introduced in 8.00).
- Fixed Options menu closing when changing VSync setting under certain circumstances (problem introduced in 8.00).
- Fixed several causes of crashes.
