- [p align="justify"]The Tu-1 is an experimental aircraft developed in the late 1940s at Plant No. 22 (A.N. Tupolev Design Bureau) based on the Tu-2 bomber. It was one of the last piston-engine combat aircraft capable of reaching speeds of up to 900 km/h. Its forward-firing armament consisted of four 23 and 45 mm cannons with ammunition belts for engaging both air and ground targets. The Tu-1 also features two defensive turrets with 12.7 mm machine guns and can carry 250, 500 or 1000 kg bombs, or 450 mm torpedoes on its external hardpoints.[/p][/*]
