Hello raiders!
Here we are, finally, with a new dev diary. Today we’re talking about the creation of another module. But this time, enough with the Imperial style. We’re diving into an Iron Guild module, specifically a gatling gun called the Wastemaker.
The Iron Guild is one of the factions formed by the raiders of Neterun during colonization. Iron raiders are tough, battle-hardened warriors who are always looking for a fight. Their neural activity spikes during combat, and their metal bodies are equipped with solid, dependable modules built to deliver firepower and intimidate. The Wastemaker is a perfect fusion of these traits.

So many of the Iron Guild’s enemies have fallen to its scorching barrels that it has become one of the most respected weapons among Guild members. We wanted to steer clear of the cobbled-together look typical of some Imperial modules. Instead, we went through several design iterations to give it a worn, battle-tested feel, scratched and weathered but without adding too much visual noise.

This allows it to keep firing and gives enemies little chance to escape. It's a reliable, lightweight weapon that punches through opponents with a steady stream of rounds, significantly boosting a raider’s chances of victory.

That wraps up this dev diary. We hope you enjoyed the read, and we’ll catch you in the next one.
Farewell, raiders!
