Here we are again with our weekly re-emergence from the suffocating depths of Neterun, coming up for air just long enough to update you on the work in progress.[/p][p]So, as a continuation of last week's dev diary, we want to share a recap of some of the key areas we are focusing on right now.
[/p][p]We are continuing to work on the fundamental issue of optimization, with particular attention to the management of the save system, as mentioned in previous entries. Our goal is to make sure that the changes and improvements we introduce remain consistent across the entire game, especially within the quest system, so that save points and auto-saves can be handled more reliably. We certainly do not want to make your exile even more dangerous by leaving you without a lifeline in the middle of Neterun’s hostile creatures. We are not the Imperials, after all.
[/p][p]Regarding navigability, we are addressing the issue by focusing in particular on the newly introduced area outside the Prometheus cage, which is filled with Alters and other threats. We are really happy to have brought this content to you, and thanks to the feedback we have received, we want to keep improving it. In the next updates, you will see a series of changes we are planning to make the experience outside Prometheus more complete.
We want that part of Neterun to feel enjoyable and coherent, with its menacing Alters and possessed raiders eager to take you down, along with some rethinking of the area to make everything smoother. As pleasant as it may be to wander among ectoplasmic entities eager to feed on our brainwaves, of course.
