We’re finally here. As mentioned in our last dev diary, it’s time to release the new version of Hell Galaxy, v0.9.
This is an important milestone for us and one we’ve been working toward for a long time. The patch improves several core aspects of gameplay, raising the overall quality of life of your journey through Hell Galaxy.
So what can you expect in this newly released update?
First of all, the new mining system. We redesigned the meshes for a visual restyling and redistributed mineables throughout the environment to make exploration more engaging. These changes are supported by new environmental details that better contextualize mining areas. As anticipated, we also improved the fracture behavior of mineables to make resource gathering more satisfying.
We have also strengthened the save system to make it more robust, particularly during quests. You can now retrace your steps more reliably, giving you greater control over progression and reducing friction in the overall quest flow.
In addition, we improved quest feedback to make availability clearer. You will now receive a notification that shows how many quests you have obtained but not yet read, helping you keep track of what you have already reviewed and what still awaits your attention.
Since this is a major update, we know there may still be some residual instability, which we are continuing to address. Thank you for your patience and for your feedback as we move into a new and important phase of the project.[/p][p][/p]
Looking Ahead
[p]This section is particularly important. While v0.9 already introduces many improvements, it also lays the groundwork for the updates that will follow.
With v0.9, we can begin expanding customization with more modules and more build options. This will allow for deeper mechanics, more strategic combat, and smoother, more rewarding exploration. Exploration itself will also be enriched with new loot, increasing resource opportunities and opening the way to more advanced modules and customization choices.
Version 0.9 also allows us to further refine UI and UX, making them more readable and fluid so that all these systems feel more organic and seamless.
Enemies will also evolve. With this update, we have laid the foundations for improvements to AI behavior, making encounters more complex and more engaging.
Finally, v0.9 significantly streamlines the creation of new quests. This will help us expand and deepen the narrative of the dangerous Galaxy of Neterun. It is now also easier for us to introduce new structures, new content, new modes, and even entirely new systems.
As you can see, there is a lot in development, and the release of v0.9 was essential to make it all possible.
Enjoy the update and the new features already available, and stay tuned for what’s coming next.
Farewell, raiders![/p]
