Dear Metas,
[p]The server maintenance and update is planned for March 25, 2026, at 4:00 PM (PT) and expected to last about 2 hours (actual time may differ). Please plan your game time accordingly for the best experience.[/p][p]This update introduces a new Deviation: Brave George, new Deviants: Sea Rabbit and Morphic Tree, a revamped Territory Terminal, and other optimizations and bug fixes.[/p][p]After this maintenance, all players will receive the following rewards: Starchrom ×1,000, Mitsuko's Mark ×100, Starwish Token ×300, and Colorful Badge ×30.[/p][p]Below are the details of this update:[/p]Content/Feature Updates
New Deviation: Brave George
[p]"In the chaotic heart of battle, it takes the most steadfast will to raise that shield."[/p][p]Brave George, a new Combat Deviation, is here to keep you alive! Its special mechanics allow you to enter a special state, absorbing a portion of damage taken. And when you summon Brave George, it will regularly grant you a shield against fatal attacks.[/p][p]Skill Details[/p][p]Depending on the scenario, Brave George will possess different combat traits.[/p][p]Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve: Balanced Attack and Defense[/p][p]Role: Damage Absorption[/p][p]Battle Skill: Enter a charge-up state. When it ends, unleash a shockwave that deals Physical DMG to nearby enemies. Taking damage while charging increases the shockwave's damage.[/p][p]Ultimate: George channels power into his sword and shield, enlarging the weapon before performing a spinning sweep that strikes and stuns all enemies within range.[/p][p][/img][/p][p]Other Scenarios: Supreme Defense[/p][p]Role: Powerful Shield and Damage Reflection[/p][p]Battle Skill: Enter a Damage Absorption state. When the effect ends, the absorbed damage is dealt back to nearby targets.[/p][p]Ultimate: Create a large protective domain. Metas inside the domain gain increased shield capacity and a large amount of shield, increasing their survivability.[/p][p][/img][/p][p]How to Obtain[/p][p]1. Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve: Explore the wilderness to obtain.[/p][p]2. Other Scenarios: Defeat the Forsaken Giant to obtain.[/p][p][/img][/p]New Devourer Special Phase: Dark Hunt
[p]"Enter the pitch-dark Dark Hunt, a special phase!"[/p][p]Sonar Detection: In the dark, the Devourer cannot see, but its hearing is sharpened. When it hears a sound, it will rapidly burrow through the earth to deal a lethal strike at its location.[/p][p]Accompanying Threats: In the dark are hidden special Deviants carrying large gas canisters known as Pale Hands. Be wary of their attacks.[/p][p]Strategy[/p][p]Survival Mode: The Dark Hunt phase lasts for 60 seconds. Remain silent and avoid the Devourer until the darkness fades.[/p][p]Tactical Reprisal: Use gunshots, throwables, or other means to lure the Devourer to the Deviants carrying gas canisters. If the Devourer swallows a gas canister, the latter will explode inside its body, forcing it into a weakened state and ending the Dark Hunt phase immediately.[/p][p][/img][/p]New Enemies Arrive
[p]New Deviation: Sea Rabbit[/p][p]A sea change descends upon Nalcott's ecology! A new lifeform has been detected in the deep ocean. Though it appears slow-witted, it poses a grave threat.[/p][p]* To assist you in aquatic combat, melee weapons (daggers only) and some items (Throwing Daggers, Grenades, and Activators) can be used underwater, including in RaidZone. However, this Deviation does not feature in RaidZone.[/p][p][/img][/img][/p][p]Habitat: Mainly found in Nalcott's deep-sea regions[/p][p]Combat Mechanics: The Sea Rabbit has weak sensory capabilities, but becomes extremely aggressive when disturbed. It will attempt to attach itself to its target's head and bite down, dealing physical damage and injecting a special neurotoxin.[/p][p]Deviated State: Metas injected with the Sea Rabbit's toxin will enter a confused state. During this time, your movement controls will be reversed (e.g., pressing the forward key will cause you to move backward), seriously disrupting your underwater exploration and combat capabilities.[/p][p][/img][/p][p][/img][/p][p][/p][p]Strategy:[/p][p]High Temperatures: The Sea Rabbit fears heat. Use fire or other high-temperature weapons to drive it away.[/p][p]Escape the Water: Quickly leave the deep-sea area and get to shore. The Sea Rabbit will automatically detach in dry environments.[/p][p][/img][/p][p] [/p][p]New Elite Deviant: Morphic Tree[/p][p]The Morphic Tree is a new Elite Deviant joining Nalcott's ecosystem. A master of disguise, it hides itself in thick forests, blending in with the normal trees and inflicting hallucinations on unsuspecting Metas. Make sure to pay close attention when chopping trees.[/p][p][/img][/p][p]Prolonged exposure to these hallucinations will transform affected organisms into Morphic Trees. Research shows that Morphic Trees will corrupt surrounding trees, forming a "grove" that lures prey into chopping them down. In reality, this "grove" is the Morphic Tree's hunting ground, and stepping into it means grave danger.[/p][p][/img][/p][p]Do not panic if you have entered a Morphic Tree's "grove." Continue chopping down the trees in the "grove." In the resultant hallucinations, you will perceive the trees as humanoids facing a particular direction, pointing you toward the Morphic Tree itself. After chopping down enough trees and following their directions, you will uncover the Morphic Tree. Quickly find it and defeat it to escape danger.[/p][p][/img][/p][p]Be warned that every tree you chop down will worsen your hallucinations. If you fail to find the Morphic Tree even after felling many trees, you will be trapped forever as a member of its "grove."[/p][p][/img][/p][p]Upon defeating the Morphic Tree, its "grove" will perish as well, yielding a large amount of wood and special rewards. This is a highly efficient way to gather wood, but it is strongly advised to conduct a risk assessment before proceeding.[/p][p]For more details: 全新怪物蓝帖[/p]Changes to Starchrom and Blueprint Acquisition
[p]Starchrom and blueprints have always been at the heart of Once Human, but the current system still has several problems. Blueprint acquisition is too restrictive, the progression paths are too complicated, and the Wish Machine draw system is hard to understand. Because of that, we plan to adjust how Starchrom and blueprints are acquired after the update on March 25 (PT), so you can obtain and develop gear more easily and more freely, and spend more time enjoying exploration and combat.[/p][p]1. Blueprint system overhaul: Use Starchrom to activate and upgrade directly[/p][p]1) Simpler blueprint unlocks and upgrades[/p][p]Blueprints will now be activated directly from the Blueprint screen using Starchrom. You will no longer need to draw and combine blueprint fragments. Both weapon and armor blueprints can be unlocked directly with Starchrom, with costs varying by type. Blueprint upgrades will also be handled directly on the Blueprint screen using Starchrom. The expected Starchrom cost to unlock and upgrade blueprints will remain the same. This change is mainly meant to make the rules simpler and the process clearer.[/p][p]You will still be able to use the Blueprint Conversion feature to transfer star levels between blueprints of the same rarity.[/p][p]2) Wilderness reward updates[/p][p]In the wilderness, exploration points, crates, and other sources that previously awarded blueprint fragments will now award Starchrom directly. This includes mysterious settlement treasures, first-clear dungeon rewards, tasks, and other gameplay sources. All blueprint fragment rewards will be replaced with an equivalent amount of Starchrom.[/p][p]3) Closure of the Blueprint Shop[/p][p]With blueprint acquisition being fully streamlined, the Blueprint Shop will be removed. If you plan to use it, please spend your Starchrom accordingly before the update.[/p][p]4) Stellar Stairway system changes[/p][p]Stellar Stairway and Asterism will be removed. Sources that previously awarded Asterism and Asterism Crates will now award Starchrom and Starchrom Crates directly. The monthly Starchrom acquisition rules will remain unchanged. You will be able to check the Starchrom cap for the current cycle on the Blueprint screen.[/p][p]* Starchrom earned from events, the Battle Pass, Collection Level, and similar sources will not count toward the monthly Starchrom cap.[/p][p]5) Conversion of existing materials[/p][p]Once these blueprint-related changes go live, affected items in your Backpack will be automatically converted to an equivalent value. Details are as follows:[/p][p]- Blueprint Fragments: Converted into different amounts of Starchrom based on rarity and slot. Formula: Starchrom = Fragment Exp × 1.85[/p][p]- Asterism: After the Stellar Stairway adjustment, the current month's Asterism acquisition rate will be directly converted into the current month's Starchrom acquisition rate. Any unclaimed Stellar Stairway Starchrom Crates will also be converted directly into Starchrom.[/p][p]- Wish Stones will be converted into Mitsuko's Marks.[/p][p]2. Wish Machine rework[/p][p]The Wish Machine is one of Once Human's signature features, and as developers, we also love how it looks and feels. But using it to draw blueprints is clearly too complicated, especially for newer players. So we plan to rework the Wish Machine while keeping the mini-game interaction and the fun of random rewards, and shift its focus to activity rewards instead. This rework is expected to go live after the April 22 update (PT).[/p][p]1) Wish Machine draws will be temporarily disabled after the March 25 update (PT)[/p][p]After the update on March 25 (PT), the Wish Machine will be temporarily disabled, and it will no longer provide blueprint fragments. The Wish Machine can also no longer be unlocked using Memetic Points. However, Metas who have already obtained the Wish Machine formula can still build it.[/p][p]2) New activity rewards will be added to the Wish Machine on April 22 (PT)[/p][p]After the April 22 update (PT), the Wish Machine will offer a new set of activity rewards that do not consume Starchrom. By taking part in daily gameplay and completing activity tasks, you can earn draw chances and get useful supplies and cosmetic rewards. The Wish Machine formula will also be unlocked by default, making it easier to build whenever you need it.[/p][p]3) Due to the Wish Machine being disabled, the Lucky Streak task in the Exploration Guide's Weapon Amplifier module will be changed to the Craft Armor task.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]Revamped Super Anomaly Mechanics
[p]Currently, the Super Anomaly types (Coherence, Void, Phase, Balance) in Nalcott tend to force Metas to adopt specific builds, limiting their freedom. To encourage a larger variety of builds and tactics, we've decided to remove this limit.[/p][p]New Mechanic: The current Coherence, Void, Phase, and Balance Super Anomaly types will be replaced by a new general resistance mechanic.[/p][p]Freedom of Combat[/p][p]Choose Any Weapon: You no longer have to use specific types of weapons to take on certain enemies. For example, you no longer have to use Fortress Warfare weapons to counter Balance enemies.[/p][p]Tactical Freedom: The new system will emphasize player skill and tactical coordination. Any weapon type can effectively counter the enemy if used correctly.[/p][p]Simplified System[/p][p]Cradle Adjustments: Cradle Override nodes related to Super Anomaly enemies will be removed, freeing up valuable node slots that you can freely customize.[/p][p]Dungeon Affixes Removed: Affected dungeons will no longer have weapon restriction affixes, making your adventure much more convenient.[/p][p] [/p]Revamped Territory Terminal Interface and Functions
[p]Redesigned Interface: Optimized the Territory Terminal's interface to display information more clearly.[/p][p]Precise Repairs: No more wasted resources due to the Quick Repair function! After the update, you can choose between repairing all structures or just specific categories (such as walls).[/p][p]Intelligent Maximum Repairs: A new Max Repairable Parts option will be added. If enabled, the terminal will automatically repair as many damaged structures as possible based on the amount of materials in your territory's inventory, ensuring that every resource counts.[/p]New Retain Body Type Setting
[p]Added a setting that divorces body type from body weight. After enabling it in the Settings, your character's body type will always appear as customized and will not be affected by changes in body weight.[/p]Reduced Mobile App Storage Use
[p]To reduce the storage space used by the mobile version and optimize the game's performance, we've added a new resource clearing function.[/p][p]If the redundant data on your device exceeds a certain threshold, a prompt on the login screen will direct you to Settings > Memory Optimization to free up space on your device and make the game run more smoothly.[/p]RaidZone Updates
Batch Upgrade Territory Buildings
[p]Batch Upgrade Feature: In RaidZone, you can now upgrade structures in batches right from the Territory Terminal.[/p][p]Simplified Controls: Specify the grade and type of structure for batch upgrades. (For example, you can upgrade all wood walls to stone walls.) This reduces the need for manual replacement, streamlining your base construction.[/p]Territory Reinforcement Optimizations
[p]Extended Maximum Duration: Territory reinforcement maximum duration has been increased from 24 hours to 72 hours, giving you extended protection during your offline hours.[/p][p]Anti-Waste Mechanic: A new overflow protection system has been added. The system will prevent you from adding materials that would extend the reinforcement duration beyond 72 hours, eliminating any risk of wasting reinforcement materials.[/p]Streamlined Social and Multiplayer Systems
[p]Merged Features: To streamline access, we are merging the Hive and Team functions, making it easier to manage your teams.[/p][p]Offline Retention: You will no longer automatically leave your team after going offline. Instead, you will remain in the team in an offline state, so you can return to combat anytime.[/p]Combat and Construction Rule Adjustments
[p]Blueprint Limitation: To ensure fairness, when your territory is in combat status, you cannot use house blueprints to quickly place buildings.[/p][p]Improved Detection: Improved the logic for detecting combat status. Dealing damage to buildings in your own territory will no longer trigger combat status.[/p][p]More Responsive Doors and Windows: In RaidZone mode, the speed and animations of opening and closing doors have been greatly improved, making it faster to enter your base.[/p]Combat Balance Adjustments
[p]1. FP-9[/p][p]The FP-9's crafting cost does not currently match its combat performance. This update will enhance the FP-9's damage per hit and reload speed.[/p]| [p align="center"] [/p] | [p align="center"]Before[/p] | [p align="center"]After[/p] |
