Hello everyone,

The 2025 Steam Awards have begun! Nominations are open, and we’re hoping you’ll support Old World by nominating it in the Labor of Love category.

If you’ve been keeping up with our development updates, you know that we’ve released 52 updates in the last year, including 10 major updates and 42 more minor updates.

The Wrath of Gods DLC introduced natural disasters, the new Aksum nation & dynasties, and a new replayable survival scenario. Some highlights from our free updates include a rework of Grand Viziers from the Behind the Throne DLC based on player feedback, a new system for National Ambitions with a greater variety of ambitions to choose from, a rebalance of premade maps with a major expansion of the Old World map, and the addition of support for multiple victories and succession games. We have also been hard at work making the already well-respected AI even better, optimizing system performance, improving the UI, and tweaking the game balance in many smaller ways.

Ongoing development for Old World has been a labor of love for us, and we’re always excited to see what our players think of each update.

Most importantly, we want to thank you all for your support throughout the last year of Old World’s development. It’s been an honor to watch this community grow and to incorporate your feedback into creating the best game possible.
